Food Diversity

In response to recurring requests from produce recipients for specific crop types we don't commonly receive through our gleaning efforts, we are trialling a new program this year focused on making affordable a diverse range of vegetables. We worked closely with our advisory board to select culturally appropriate items for the Southeast Asian, Latino and Caribbean communities living in Hudson.

We host a weekly pop-up market outside of Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood each Wednesday from 4:00-5:30pm, starting July 26th, running for ten weeks. Prices are at a sliding scale and we accept SNAP/EBT. Types of vegetables include but are not limited to: okra, ground cherries, collard greens, bitter melon, assorted hot peppers and herbs, long cucumbers, asian eggplant, squash blossoms, long beans, lemongrass, turmeric, ginger, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, daikon radish, calabaza squash and more.
